What is sleep?
Mystery (freedom?)
To me sleep is the covering up of ourselves from the known world of which we are concious. We often dont realize this when we are awake but When we awake we tend cover ourselves from a world that is even more real. ( the self )
"O sleep, every night thou freest the prisoner from his bonds! the prisoner when he is asleep, does not know that he is in prison, he is free." Rumi

Oh my gosh... why do some of ya'll want to make EACH and EVERY subject into some DEEP Philosophical musing??
It gets ridiculous! You know that!
SLEEP = the brain's way to get rest, and replenish itself for another day. Otherwise, your body would simply not function. WHY? Because if your brain is too tired, it is unable to carry out its tasks, and will send faulty messages to the body, or even none at all.
Now go to sleep and rest that brain, and stop asking bogus questions.
Jeez Louise! *and my smileys are NOT smiling* trust me!

It's like recharging without having to plug into anything. One more advantage over robots!
